This Acceptable Usage Policy is designed to protect the interests of all clients and ensure optimal service levels for Hostillery, LLC servers. By purchasing any Hostillery, LLC products or services, which includes but is not limited to web hosting, domain names, or marketing services, users automatically agrees to adhere to the following Acceptable Usage Policy.
The Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) for clients is a guide used to protect client rights, explain client responsibilities, and protect Hostillery, LLC when utilizing services offered by Hostillery, LLC. This can be updated at any time without notice as we see fit.
Data Retention
Backups are performed by Hostillery, LLC as a courtesy to clients; however, all clients are advised to maintain a current local copy of their files in the event backups are irretrievable for any reason by Hostillery, LLC. We will not be responsible for any corrupt databases, regardless of who is at fault, or wrongly configured databases. If a backup retrieval is requested, the client will be charged a backup retrieval fee at the time the request is made.
Security
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE if your site gets hacked. While we do our best to take strong security precautions to ensure that your information is secure, ultimately maintaining your website security is your responsibility. It is your responsibility to keep your passwords, admin and invoice logins, cPanel and FTP logins, and any other passwords or logins you use to access your Hostillery, LLC website safe and secure. It is your responsibility to make sure you do not remain logged in to the CPanel or any site Admin areas while leaving an internet browser open for long periods of time. It is your responsibility to update all software that runs on your site to the latest versions when updates are available (ie, WordPress, Joomla, Magento, etc.).
It is you the client’s responsibility to review activity logs to detect any malicious scripts or phishing scams and address them quickly and appropriately. Delete them immediately and change your password if you detect any malware on your account.

We do not allow sites on our server that include child pornography; violence or abuse towards people or animals; or any defamatory or malicious topic in general, or sites that violate a person’s privacy, or sites that send unsolicited email.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SHUT DOWN ANY WEBSITE HOSTED ON OUR SERVERS DOWN WITHOUT NOTICE FOR ANY ABUSE LISTED IN THE AUP.
